K.B. INGLEE was born in Boston and has strong family ties to the area. She now
lives in Delaware. Though she specialized in literature, psychology and
theology in college and graduate school, she has chosen historical settings
for most of her writing. Her stories are heavily researched, including
walking the distances between the places whenever possible, and wearing the
clothes her characters would have worn. She still steps on the hem of floor
length skirts, and has panic attacks when laced into a corset. She spent a
weekend on a farm in Maine to get a taste of farm life in 1870, and has taken
part in Civil War reenactments. She is active with a local living history
museum. She keeps a horse, a bird and a dog. She is married and has one
adult daughter. Besides writing she sews and knits, reads lots of non-fiction
and some fiction.
